USE Is indicated for monitoring the active power of a load (ex. electric motor). INPUTS: (form factor 1,11) Current: pin 1-2 (permanent overload 200%). It is fitted for direct connection or through a CT../5 or ../1 according to the maximum value of the input current. Voltage : pin 4-6-8 400Vac Standard - The phase used to measure the current (amperometric phase) must be connected to pin 4. The wiring of the other two phases is made without any specific sequence. The two sections are optically separated by a linear coupler, without frequency conversion. The device must work between 10% and 100% of the CT. CT SELECTION It is requested to choose the CT having a full scale a bit bigger than the maximum load current. (ref. to TAB A for 3-phase line and to TAB B for 1- phase line). Ex.: I = 15A. The nearest CT is 50/5 or 50/1. With one passage of the current wire through the CT, 1/3 only of the current is used (power will be lower due to cosφ<1). With three passages through the CT the current seen by the CT will be: 15x3 = 45A, so that almost the whole current range is used (see fig.2). Consequently the outputs will be 3 times higher than the values available with one passage only. Ex.: I = 15A - CT 50/5 - V = 400 Vac with 3 passages through the CT, the analog output 0-10V reads out V = 7,2V, and the effective value is Vu : 3 = 2,4 V.
